Payment Protection

How Your Checkout Is Protected

Encrypted Connections

Shopify provides TLS certificates that support HTTPS connections. HTTPS encrypts information sent between your browser and the Pacific Coast storefront while it is in transit.

PCI DSS-Compliant Infrastructure

Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, and stores powered by Shopify are PCI compliant by default. PCI DSS establishes security requirements for organizations that handle payment-card information.

Payment-Provider Processing

Payment-card details are processed through Shopify and the applicable payment provider. Pacific Coast generally receives transaction status, authorization, and confirmation information rather than your complete payment-card number.

Additional Verification

Depending on the transaction, your bank or payment provider may request an additional authentication step, such as a one-time code, biometric confirmation, wallet approval, or 3D Secure verification.

Before You Submit Payment

  • Confirm that you are shopping at PacificCoast.com and that your browser displays an HTTPS connection.
  • Review your billing information, shipping address, currency, discounts, shipping charges, taxes, and final order total.
  • Complete bank or wallet verification only through Pacific Coast checkout or the payment provider's authorized interface.
  • Never send your complete card number, CVV or security code, account password, or one-time verification code by email or chat.
  • If your payment is declined, contact your card issuer or payment provider before making repeated attempts.

Payment Policy

Authorization, Charges, and Refunds

Payment Authorization

Submitting an order authorizes the selected payment provider to request payment approval from your card issuer, bank, or wallet provider. Payment approval is determined by that provider. Pacific Coast cannot override an issuer's authorization decision.

Order Review

Some orders may require additional payment, identity, billing, shipping-address, or fraud-prevention review. We may contact you using the information supplied with the order when additional verification is reasonably required.

Currency and Final Total

Review the currency and final amount displayed at checkout before placing your order. Your bank, card issuer, or wallet provider may separately charge currency-conversion, international-transaction, or other account fees. These third-party fees are not controlled by Pacific Coast.

Pending Authorizations

Your bank may temporarily display a pending authorization after a payment attempt. A pending authorization is not always a completed charge. The timing for releasing or posting it is controlled by the card issuer, bank, or payment provider.

Declined Payments

If a payment is declined, check the card details, expiration date, billing address, ZIP code, available funds, and any verification request from your provider. You may then contact the provider or use another eligible method displayed at checkout.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. After Pacific Coast issues a refund, the bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the credit appears in your account. Return eligibility and refund conditions are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Saved Payment Information

If you choose to save payment information through Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or another provider, that provider manages the saved information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Protect Your Payment Details

Pacific Coast Customer Care can assist with checkout and order questions, but will never need your complete card number, CVV or security code, account password, or one-time verification code by email or chat.

If you notice an unauthorized transaction, contact your card issuer or payment provider immediately, then contact Pacific Coast with the relevant order number. Do not include complete payment credentials in your message.

Payment FAQ

Common Payment Questions

Is Pacific Coast checkout secure?

Pacific Coast uses Shopify-powered checkout over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. These safeguards are designed to reduce risk, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Why is a payment option not displayed?

Availability can depend on store settings, your location, currency, device, browser, order details, payment account, and provider eligibility. The methods shown during checkout are the available methods for that order.

Why was I asked to verify my payment?

Your bank or wallet may request a one-time code, biometric approval, wallet confirmation, or another authentication step to help verify the transaction.

Can I submit card information by email or phone?

Orders should be placed through PacificCoast.com. Do not send complete card details, passwords, CVV or security codes, or verification codes by email, contact form, or chat.

What should I do about a pending payment?

Check the order confirmation and your payment account. If no order was completed, contact the bank or payment provider for information about the pending authorization and its release schedule.
