This Privacy Policy explains how Pacific Coast Feather Home Inc. ("Pacific Coast," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you visit PacificCoast.com, purchase or return products, create an account, participate in our rewards or marketing programs, contact Customer Care, or otherwise interact with us online or offline (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy is a notice of our practices. It does not create consent where consent is required by law.

1. Notice at Collection and Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services and may include the following categories. We collect and use each category for the purposes identified below and in Section 3. We retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements.

Contact and Identification Information

Your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account identifiers, IP address, and similar identifiers.

We use this information to manage accounts, process and deliver orders, communicate with you, provide Customer Care, prevent fraud, administer rewards and promotions, and send marketing when permitted. We generally retain it for the duration of our relationship with you and for the period reasonably necessary to meet legal and business obligations.

Order and Transaction Information

This may include products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order history, payment method, payment status, discounts, rewards activity, shipping details, returns, refunds, and related transaction records.

Payment card information is processed by Shopify and our payment providers. We generally receive transaction and payment-confirmation information rather than your complete payment card number.

We use this information to process transactions, fulfill orders, provide returns and refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain business records. Transaction records may be retained for the periods required by tax, accounting, payment-network, chargeback, and other legal obligations.

Account and Rewards Information

This may include login credentials, account settings, saved preferences, rewards balance, tier status, redemption activity, and other account activity.

We use this information to operate and secure your account, remember preferences, provide rewards and personalized features, and support you. We retain it while the account is active and thereafter as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

Device and Online Activity Information

This may include browser and device type, operating system, IP address, cookie or pixel identifiers, referring pages, pages and products viewed, searches, clicks, session activity, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with our website, emails, and advertisements.

We use this information to operate and secure the Services, remember preferences, measure performance, improve the shopping experience, detect fraud, and provide or measure advertising.

Retention depends on the technology and purpose. Session technologies generally expire after the session, while persistent technologies remain for the period stated by the relevant provider or until deleted or reset.

Communications and Content

This may include customer-service messages, emails, survey responses, product reviews, photographs, promotion entries, social-media interactions, and other information you choose to provide.

We use this information to respond to requests, resolve issues, improve products and services, administer promotions, and publish content when you direct or authorize us to do so. We retain it for as long as reasonably necessary to address the communication, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with law.

Preferences and Inferences

This may include product interests, shopping preferences, likely interests, and customer segments inferred from your purchases, browsing activity, and other interactions.

We use these inferences to improve the Services, personalize recommendations, measure marketing, and, where permitted, provide relevant advertising. We retain them only while reasonably useful for the disclosed purpose.

Sensitive Personal Information

Account credentials and certain payment-related information may be treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law. We use this information to provide requested services, protect accounts, process payments, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you except as permitted by law.

2. How We Collect Personal Information

We may collect personal information:

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, join a rewards or marketing program, request a return, submit a review, enter a promotion, or contact us.
  • Automatically through cookies, pixels, tags, log files, software development kits, and similar technologies when you use the Services or interact with our communications.
  • From Shopify and service providers that support payments, fraud prevention, fulfillment, shipping, customer service, analytics, rewards, reviews, email, SMS, and website operations.
  • From advertising and marketing partners that provide campaign, audience, attribution, or interaction information.
  • From social networks and other third parties when you interact with our pages, use an integration, or direct another party to provide information to us.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services;
  • Process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and other transactions;
  • Fulfill, ship, deliver, and track orders;
  • Create and manage customer and rewards accounts;
  • Provide Customer Care and respond to questions or requests;
  • Send order, account, shipping, security, and policy communications;
  • Send promotional email, text messages, or other marketing when permitted by law;
  • Recommend products and measure content, campaigns, and advertising;
  • Administer reviews, surveys, rewards, contests, and promotions;
  • Authenticate users and detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
  • Protect our customers, personnel, property, rights, and Services;
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our policies, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
  • Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or that you direct or authorize.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners, including Shopify, use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, maintain security, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the website, measure campaigns, and, where permitted, personalize content and advertising.

Depending on your location, a cookie banner or Cookie Preferences control may allow you to review or change certain choices. You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent account, cart, checkout, or other website features from working correctly.

Shopify's privacy controls govern Shopify cookies and pixels. Cookies, pixels, or scripts installed by other applications or providers may use separate controls.

For information about cookies used by Shopify, review the Shopify Cookie Policy.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Shopify, payment providers, and commerce providers that host our store, process transactions, and provide commerce and security services;
  • Fulfillment, warehouse, shipping, and logistics providers that prepare, deliver, and track orders;
  • Technology and business-service providers that support hosting, cloud storage, customer service, communications, analytics, rewards, reviews, fraud prevention, identity verification, security, and professional services;
  • Advertising and marketing partners that help us deliver, personalize, attribute, or measure advertising and marketing, subject to applicable privacy rights;
  • Affiliates and corporate group members for legitimate operational and business purposes;
  • Parties you direct or authorize to receive information;
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts, and other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or enforce our agreements; and
  • Parties to a corporate transaction involving an actual or proposed merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual. We will not attempt to re-identify information that we maintain as de-identified except as permitted by law.

6. Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information when you visit or make a purchase from our store, including information about your interactions and transactions.

Shopify may combine this information with information from your interactions with Shopify and other merchants to provide and improve commerce, personalization, analytics, security, fraud-prevention, and advertising-related services.

Information submitted through our store may be processed by Shopify and its service providers or partners in countries other than your own.

For more information, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

7. Targeted Advertising and Your Privacy Choices

We may disclose identifiers, commercial information, internet or other electronic network activity, approximate location, and inferences to advertising and marketing partners to deliver or measure advertising based on activity over time and across different websites or services.

Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, these disclosures may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for "targeted advertising," even when no money is exchanged.

Depending on where you live, you may opt out of these activities through our Your Privacy Choices page.

Where required by applicable law, we recognize supported opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as an opt-out request for the browser and device that send the signal.

Clearing cookies or using another browser or device may require you to submit the choice again.

Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track, we do not currently respond to those signals.

Do Not Track is different from legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as GPC, which we honor as required by law.

8. Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from promotional email by using the unsubscribe link in the message.

If you have opted in to promotional text messages, you may opt out by replying STOP. We will also honor other reasonable methods of withdrawing consent where required by law. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase.

After opting out of marketing, you may continue to receive non-promotional communications such as order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices, security alerts, policy notices, and responses from Customer Care.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and as required or permitted by law.

The applicable period depends on the type and sensitivity of the information, the products or services requested, the duration of our relationship, security and fraud risks, and tax, accounting, payment, chargeback, return, dispute-resolution, and other legal obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify it, subject to lawful exceptions.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send complete payment-card numbers, account passwords, or other sensitive information through unsecured email or other unsecured channels.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected such information, we will delete it as required by law.

We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us using the information below.

12. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information and access the information we maintain about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete personal information;
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • Obtain information about, or in some states a list of, certain third parties to which personal information was disclosed;
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
  • Limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Appeal a decision regarding your request; and
  • Receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide information reasonably necessary for us to identify the relevant records.

To opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, use Your Privacy Choices. You do not need to create an account to submit a browser-based opt-out request.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We may request proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

Appeals

If we deny your request and your state provides a right to appeal, email service@pacificcoast.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."

Include the original request and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.

14. International Users and Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries where we, Shopify, or our service providers operate.

Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers.

15. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Services may link to websites, applications, social networks, or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content of third-party services that we do not control.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, technologies, Services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date.
