Nice pillow at a reasonable price. The cover is simple and the pillow doesn’t have a lot of loft, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. I’ve bought other pillows by this brand over the years and think the quality has declined a little.

About 20 years ago, we purchased 2 king size Pacific Coast pillows at Costco. Those pillows were still very comfortable, but had become shabby looking from wear and tear. Our Costco no longer carries this brand, and we did not like any of the ones we tried in the store, so kept sleeping blissfully on these old ones. Then, last month, I decided to google Pacific Coast pillows, and was overjoyed to see that they were still available, and the cost was very reasonable. That same day, I ordered new ones for us.

When they arrived, they were so beautifully packaged that we thought that they had been sent from Tiffany’s. Never have we seen anything packaged so perfectly! We have slept on these pillows for several weeks now, and our sleep quality has really been upgraded. Almost hard to believe what a difference a pillow can make. These are THE BEST!

I'm writing this because of how hard it is to buy something like pillows online and want to share my findings with regard to these Pacific Coast down pillows (king). It's hard to discern anything from stock photos. My expectation of a pillow is that it 1) will fill the pillow case and look like a new pillow when sitting on my bed, 2) gently yield to the weight of my head with slight resistance during sleep without collapsing to nothing, 3) gradually resume its shape without having to be fluffed, and 4) not get hot. These do all that. The build quality seems to me excellent, including the cotton shell and filling. These arrive shrink wrapped and compressed. They down will expand to about 50% in about 20 minutes, 80% in a few hours, and 100% after putting them to use for a few days. I would say they are medium, as described by the manufacturer. Once fully expanded, they will surely fill your pillowcases as you can see in the photos I have included. Shake them once in the morning and they will resume perfect shape. The other pillows in the second photo are my wife's, also down filled, and they would be categorized as soft (and are a different brand). You can see the difference in size due to her's being soft filled. Despite being medium-firm, the Pacific Coast pillows will yield without resistance to the weight of your head, or easily compress with slight resistance if you wish to hug or use as a side pillow. This is unique to down, which will also gently resume its prior expanded shape once you release it. If you dislike pillows with chopped memory foam or polyester because they feel dead and get hot, these down pillows are the solution.

Great pillows. And I am a straight up pillow snob. These are not cheap pillows mind you but they're nowhere near as expensive as at least half of the pillows I have tested or currently are using. I tested everything up to $300 pillows and these are currently on my bed and in my rotation for the foreseeable future, they are excellent pillows. I don't know how to grade pillows. I've never had formal training lol I just imagine I'm just like you. If I sleep good on it it's a good pillow. When I hold it and I feel the quality is high. That's a good pillow. These have all of the above. They're extremely well-made and extremely comfortable while they're not the most unique pillows or they're not the most jaw dropping instantly as soon as you touch them type of comfort they are excellent excellent pills and should still be considered. The stitching is exquisite meaning nice tight stitching no loose seams or anything. You can see in my second photo all the pillows that are currently in my rotation are the ones on my bed. And you can see the pillows in my window seat behind in the picture. That's just what you can see in my room. I have 10 more pillows in closets. I have considerable experience in this area just like you I've spent a third of my life in bed. You spend 33% of your life in bed on average did you know that? Think about that. 33% of your life is spent in bed. You should not try to nickel and diamond something that you spend 30% of your life doing and what you do in this 30% affects what you do in the 66% of the rest of your life so treat your sleep schedule good treat your body good and treat yourself to some higher quality things for your body. Start with a mattress and pillows. Splurge once on a mattress and pillows that will last 10 years and you can't go wrong. I like the way that these puff up inside the pillowcases (it's laundry day so that's why my pillows have no pillowcases at the moment) Anyway, there's not much I can say about them except they're good excellent pillows and I was not expecting them to be anything as impressive as they are. I certainly was not expecting them to make it into my rotation, but they are in their spot I think, and I noticed when I wake up in the morning, I tend to have moved or adjusted to one of these pillows in the middle of the night. I have a regular pillow that is my personal go to will be with me for years probably pillow that I go to sleep with every night and a couple of times I have woken up with that on the floor and me usually one of these pillows I find that truly unexpected. I don't know why it's happening except I must really like these pillows lol I don't sleep with anybody else in my bed so it's not like somebody stealing my pillow from me. I'm actively choosing these. Anyway they're good pillows. How many times do I have to say it? Lol good luck sweet dreams.

My husband and I are happy with the Royal Goose Down Fiber Pillows. I wish it had a little more puff to it but it still feels good. This is our second time ordering pillows and we are so impressed with your nice packaging the pillows come in. It looks very special. Thank you.

Very nice. Arrived in good condition, plumped out perfectly. Just a little bit firm, but then I have been sleeping with a Pacific Coast pillow for 20 years that has, understandably, lost its resiliency. I will get used to it!

These are truly the best of the best pillows, excellent quality that makes me feel like a Queen every night when I go to bed. If you fluff them up every morning they stay like new. There is no skimping on their fabric, they are more expensive than those cheap pillows, these are worth every penny.

This pillow lives up to its "Royal" name. The down fiber fill is incredibly soft and fluffy, but it still has enough resilience to support my head. No flat spots by morning. The cotton cover is smooth and breathable. For the price, this is an absolute steal. I bought two for my master bedroom and my husband finally stopped complaining about his old pillow.
