This Pacific Coast comforter does indeed look and feel like a comforter that you might find in a nice hotel somewhere. The cover content is 85% polyester and 15% cotton. It has a kind of a silky satin feel to it. The cotton content is noticeable though, and keeps it from feeling too slippery. The fabric & baffle-box construction do seem help prevent the feathers from bunching up too much at night. The feathers do seem to redistribute themselves quite readily upon shaking the comforter in the morning. The comforter has a great fill quantity of feathers, and feels extremely soft as expected. The edges are double stitched into a navy blue strip of piping fabric. This really does a nice job of helping the comforter keep its shape. We ordered the king size. The king size comforter drapes over a king size bed sufficiently. The retained body heat is distributed evenly and feels naturally warming. This is in contrast our electric blanket and heated mattress cover, which don't heat as evenly, and can make the bed feel too warm or too cold at times. Since adding the comforter to our bed, we have found ourselves relying more on the comfortable for warmth, and less on our electric blanket and heated mattress pad. The only drawbacks I can is see are: that it is white; it's not machine washable; and it doesn't come with a duvet cover. It will need some protection from dust, sweat, and spills. My wife says that we have a king size duvet cover somewhere. We'll be putting that cover over this comforter, as soon as we can find it.

Real down triggers my allergies terribly, but I hate how flat synthetic comforters usually feel. This down fiber comforter is the best of both worlds – completely hypoallergenic but still lofty and soft. No sneezing, no stuffy nose, just cozy sleep. I've washed it twice already, and it hasn't clumped. Highly recommend for allergy sufferers.

It’s been forever since I freshened up my bedding, including the down insert for my duvet.

After combing through multiple products and several reviews, I ended up on this product. I needed something that was lofty, but for four seasons as I am on the West Coast. And I wanted to make sure the feathers and down weren’t going to move around. They also needed to be an ample amount of feathers and down used in the product.

Let me start by saying the packaging alone was impressive. I have bought luxury handbags that didn’t come nicely packed like this. It came in a branded box delicately wrapped in tissue inside another like storage bag, and then shrink wrapped or compression wrapped inside the box. I followed some other reviewers instructions and popped it into the dryer to fluff it up a little more. But right out of the packaging there’s no smell very soft and lofty. It’s a good weight as far as feeling it on your body. It’s not too heavy. I love that there are separate baffles full of feathers and down to help keep it in place.

I may have to update for sleep quality, but right now I’m thoroughly impressed. Almost to the point where I would have to buy another one for another bedroom and recommend other people.

This is a gift for my granddaughter. She will take it to college in Montana in August.

After trying so many pillows... THESE ARE THEM! They are so incredibly comfortable. Absolutely perfect for side sleepers. Very full with great weight, not flimsy, just perfect! Highly recommend.

I bought this for my son's room, expecting it to fall apart within months. Happy to report it's still fluffy and intact after six months of rough use. It's been washed at least four times (kids are messy), and the fill hasn't clumped or shifted. The best part? It was cheap enough that I don't stress about spills or accidents. Will definitely buy more.

I use to do a lot of traveling. Some hotels I stayed in had these types of bed coverings. I told myself that I would get one at some point in my life. Recently was the time. It’s really nice and warm. It’s very light and I love it. I bought a covering with it at a local store and it’s very nice looking.

I love almost everything about this item, except that its SO HOT. It gets very toasty at night. Im struggling with this because I spent so much on it and dont want to stop using it, but... its just too toasty. I wish I had known before I bought it. Im usually cold all the time but even this is too much.

This thing is just right. In terms of warmth- not too heavy, not too light. I tend to sleep hot, but I wake up with this thing still up around my chin. And I like the gentle weight of the comforter compared to lighter cotton or poly fill.

So light, comfortable and warm!

First of all this comforter is very plush and is a true queen size. I've gotten many comforter sets from the store in which the comforter itself is usually too small and I wind up having to go with a King size, which if it's a set, the sheets are too large - especially the fitted sheet, but then again the comforter by itself will be more expensive. Now when holding the comforter in the air you can clearly see all the feathers, and based on past experiences, I was worried that they would get all messed up and out of place, seeing as how I toss and turn all night. But so far they have kept their perfect form, through peaceful nights, rowdy nights, sweaty nights, and the washer and dryer. Now here's the fun part. This thing gets WARM. Hot even. I have neuropathy and possibly poor blood circulation to my feet, so they get cold easily. When that happens, it causes my neuropathy to go haywire and it feels like my legs are being shocked everywhere. It usually requires either a long hot shower to heat me back up slowly, or I have to take Pregabalin pills in order to stop the pain, which forces a minimum of 4-6 hours of "dead to the world" sleep. And since my circulation is poor, I don't usually feel that my feet are freezing until the pain kicks in, so socks, sheets blankets, etc are usually not very effective at warming them back up. Not this bad boy. Within a minute of putting my feet under the comforter I can feel my feet warming back up, and it is the most bestest feeling for my condition. Now the blanket runs hot, so I have to go back and forth with being under and over it, but I'll take that since it works for my feet so well. And did I mention how comfortable this thing is? It's super thick and super soft. My only issue is that it's white. I do a lot of hands on stuff so i have to make sure I shower extremely well before even sitting down on this thing, because sometimes I have dirt on parts of my legs or arms or even face that I didn't even realize had gotten dirty. I guess in a way that's good because it helps to keep me on top of my hygiene regimen. So add that to the list as well - keeps you on top of your hygiene.

The comforter was fantastic until unfortunately my cat had an accident all over it big bummer

Very good duvet, it really feels like a hotel one. Personally, I think it could use a few extra inches to truly get that hotel look, and I wish I had ordered the Cal King for my King bed. It is soft, has no odors, and feels really cozy.

Super soft and fluffy

This is a beautiful and high end goose feather comforter. It is extremely well crafted, soft, and fluffs up thick. You can feel the quality the second you open the package. Even before opening the plastic holding the comfort inside, the packaging, the directions, and the way it is displayed it excellent. It fits our king bed perfectly and is accurate to the manufacturer descriptions. The comforter is a great value at its regular price and I see it is on sale right now (bonus!). This is the perfect comforter for cool long nights. Overall we're really happy with the comforter and will be very confident purchasing from Pacific Coast for our other needs.

This Pacific Coast comforter arrived vacuum?sealed, and it fluffed up nicely after a quick shake and a few minutes in the dryer. The shell has that smooth, almost silky feel you get in nicer hotels, and the fill (an ethically sourced blend of white goose feather fiber and down fiber) gives it a soft, buoyant loft without feeling overly heavy. The 3D hidden baffle?box construction does its job: the fill stays put, no shifting or cold spots, and the double?stitched navy piping around the edges adds a sturdy, finished look. I like the fact that it has eight corner tabs, which makes it easy to anchor inside a duvet cover, and the medium weight really does land in that all?season sweet spot. It's warm on cooler nights but still breathable enough that you don't overheat. The fabric is quiet too, without that crinkly "down-proof" noise some inserts have. My only hesitation, and the reason this rating lands at four stars, is the care requirements. It's not machine?washable, so you're committing to dry cleaning or spot cleaning, and with a white comforter, that's something to keep in mind. A duvet cover is basically mandatory here. Still, for the price and the build quality, it feels like a genuine step up from typical synthetic inserts. Once it's fluffed and settled, it brings that cozy, hotel?bed feel that makes you look forward to climbing in at night.

I am completely blown away by the quality of this feather and down comforter which is evident from the packaging to the stitching of the seams and everything in between. It is obvious that this comforter has been made with the highest quality materials and workmanship. Once unpackaged and shaken out, the comforter fluffed up nicely on its own without me needing to put it in the dryer. This comforter is so fluffy, soft and warm without being too heavy. I still need to purchase a duvet cover for it, but I really like that the comforter has 8 tabs to attach to the duvet to keep it from bunching up inside the cover. There is nothing about this comforter that I do not like or that could have been done better. I am extremely happy with this purchase and appreciate the attention to detail and quality that Pacific Coast put into this product.
